You Can Make a Difference
Whether you like to work on special causes or prefer to help people one-on-one, you can make a difference in the lives of older adults. We need advocates who want to learn about important issues and can contact elected officials, work on campaigns or write letters.
Other volunteers can get involved in activities ranging from helping with events to preparing and serving meals to those in need. Perhaps you want to support programs that help older adults remain in their homes, with independence and dignity.
Volunteer -- No matter what your age, profession or skill level, there are many ways you can help people of all ages and many agencies and organizations in our communities. The Area Agency on Aging serves nine counties with the OMBUDSMAN program and are in Richland and Ashland Counties with RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program).
