Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP Outreach is being held every month at Geyer’s Market, 660 S. Diamond Street in Mansfield from 12:30 p.m. to 2: 30 p.m.  SNAP volunteers will pre-screen seniors for enrollment in SNAP.  The screening takes about 10 minutes.  If the senior is presumed eligible for SNAP the volunteer will assist them with completing the SNAP application.

Healthy U Classes are for anyone who is suffering from a chronic disease or careing for someone with a chronic disease.  Healthy U classes meet once a week for 6 weeks. 

Healthy U  will help you regain control of your life and do the things that matter to you.  You will be calmer, less worried and more confident about managing your health.  Healthy U is a practical, interactive curriculum including:  exercise and nutrition; medication usage; stress management; talking with your doctor or health professional and dealing with emotions and depression.

Matter of Balance is an 8 week class for anyone who has fallen or has a fear of falling.  Matter of Balance classes are a group format that provides an opportunity for people with common problems to learn from each other and to help each other deal with the shared problem of fear of falling.  Exercises will begin at the 3^rd class.  Exercise will be to build strength, increase range of motion and increase balance.  The exercise DO NOT contain any jumping or high impact movements.  Each participant will receive a workbook.  There is no charge for a Matter of Balance Class.  Call Jack at 419-522-5612 or 800-522-5680 ext. 1187 to register for a class.
