Why did you join the Area Agency on Aging?
Original position at Richland Bank in the retail banking centers provided the opportunity to work with many of our citizens who would benefit from the services of AAA. The more I learned about AAA, the more I wanted to be an ambassador and make sure my customers know of the community support available to them. Later, I transitioned to caregiver for various family members and AAA offered additional support for me personally.
What do you like most about your work at the Area Agency on Aging?
At first my reward was helping my customers, then it moved to understanding more about AAA and helping the community as a whole, and finally to receiving information as a caregiver to better understand the services available for my parents. No matter the stage, I have enjoyed learning and growing with AAA.
