Why did you join the Area Agency on Aging?

I joined the Area Agency on Aging as a commitment to our communities. I want to ensure the needs of our population are met currently and are safeguarded in the future. The organization exemplifies service, commitment, and collaboration to those we serve, unlike no other.

How did you become interested in working with older adults?

When I was sixteen years old, I first became interested in serving an aging population by volunteering in a hospital. It became clear to me then that taking care of those who have sacrificed so much for future generations was a priority. This realization impacted me and led me to the career path of nursing.

Share a mission moment.

I have appreciated the Annual Meeting and awards program. It is something I look forward to each year. Selfishly, it centers me and allows me to take a moment or two to reflect on the awesome accomplishments of volunteers, associates, and collaborating partners. It warms my heart and brings a tear to my eye in awe of the great work, both large and small.
