Ontario OH – Don’t leave those unwanted socks you received for Christmas in the bottom of your drawer – Donate them to a senior in need!
The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging and We ACT are partnering along with many community organizations to collect socks for nursing home residents.
Socks will be donated to nursing facilities in the Area Agency’s service area, which includes the following counties: Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Seneca, Richland and Wyandot.
Current collection sites include: Richland Source, The Area Agency on Aging, City of Ontario Administration Building (Mayor’s Office), the Mansfield YMCA, the City of Mansfield (Mayor’s Office), WMFD TV and Richland County Children Services.
The collection deadline is Friday, January 6. If your business or organization would like to be a collection site, please contact Teresa Cook at the Area Agency on Aging at (800) 522-5680, ext. 1120.
