The Ohio State University at Mansfield to hold free Chronic Disease Self-Management workshop

Ontario OH – The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. and The Ohio State University at Mansfield are offering a free chronic disease self-management workshop to the public.

Healthy U: Chronic Disease is a free, six-week workshop for older adults with chronic conditions and their caregivers. Participants will learn how to manage pain and symptoms, communicate with their health team, develop a healthy meal plan and understand food labels, make decisions and set goals and much more.

This workshop will be held at the Ohio State University at Mansfield in the Eisenhower Memorial Center Boardroom. It will be held every Thursday from March 7 to April 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Interested participants who are age 60 or older should ask about how they can receive meal vouchers for the Campus Dining Program while attending this workshop.
