Every year in May, Older Americans Month celebrates older adults nationwide. From raising children to careers and legacies, older Americans give back to the community in many ways. Whether they mentored a student, helped pass out food at a pantry, or served our country, each deserves recognition.
Older Americans Month also serves to raise awareness concerning elder abuse and neglect. We must protect our older population from the risks of abuse and neglect. One way is to maintain involvement in community and social activities. This helps maintain our overall health and vitality.
To celebrate, we hold the Senior Spring Extravaganza, our biggest event of the year. Return to this page to keep an eye out for the next upcoming event in May 2023!
