Area Agency on Aging to host free lunch and learn on fraud and scam awareness

ONTARIO, OH – The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. and the Crawford County Job and Family Services will host a free Lunch and Learn event to help older adults recognize and protect themselves from fraud and scams, including real estate “red flags” that may put them at risk.
The event, Protecting the Older Adults of Crawford County, will take place on Thursday, September 18th, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at The Lofts at Pickwick Place, 1875 N. Sandusky Avenue, Bucyrus.
Presentations will be led by Richard Meeker, MSW, LISW-S, and Jami Kinton- Sluss of Sluss Realty, with representatives from the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Crawford County Job and Family Services and Crawford Adult Protective Services also available for questions and resources.
This program is designed for older adults, finance professionals, and community members who work with seniors. This event is free to attend; however, registration is required.
