Local Services Showcased During Ohio Loves Transit Week

Ontario, OH – During Ohio Loves Transit Week, Richland County Transit (RCT) teamed up with Richland County Mobility Management to host special rides for seniors, OSU students, and elected officials. These rides highlighted the vital role of local transit services in the community.

Public transit systems like RCT keep communities connected—linking residents to jobs, medical appointments, education, shopping, and more. In the past year, RCT provided over 128,000 trips, ensuring reliable transportation for workers, students, patients, and patrons. Statewide, Ohio’s transit agencies deliver over 59 million trips annually.

RCT offers safe and efficient service Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, depending on the route. Services include fixed-route buses and Dial-A-Ride ADA paratransit across Mansfield, as well as parts of Ontario and Madison Township.  For more information or to schedule free travel training, call 419-522-4504 or visit RCTBuses.com.

Richland County Mobility Management helps older adults and individuals with disabilities find and coordinate transportation options, ensuring they can safely and easily get to essential places like medical appointments, employment, and education while also finding solutions when there are gaps in transportation needs.
