About the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

The Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) helps provide low-income seniors with access to locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey, and herbs.

Eligible participants receive a $50 voucher to use at participating farmers' markets and roadside stands. The voucher can be redeemed for Ohio-grown fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, and honey.

We offer the program to eligible applicants who are 60 or older and residents of Crawford, Huron, Knox, Richland, and Seneca counties.

How Do I Apply?

Please note that all past and new participants must apply. Your account does not auto-renew from previous years.

How Will I Redeem Vouchers?

Physical Card: You can request a physical card from the Ohio Department of Aging to be mailed to you. Please note that you can expect a longer wait time than normal.
Mobile App (Homegrown Benefits for eFMNP)—This Mobile App is an option if you complete the online application. You must register your account and download the Mobile App. For technical support for the Moblie Homegrown Benefits for eFMNP app, please email support@homegrownbenefits.com.

How do I use the benefits?:

Participants will log in to the Homegrown Benefits eFMNP mobile app and click "Pay Vendor." Allow the authorized farmers/markets (vendors) to scan the QR code. The vendor will complete the steps on the following page through their mobile app. Before completing the transaction, participants can confirm the transaction amount.
